Destruction 2011 is a completely independent exhibition fused by the discussions in SET on such issues as the ecological destruction, coming of the fifth sun in the Mayan calender, the future of global capitalist hegemonia, the Third World War and prophecies of Babylon. Destruction 2011 sets off with a call for the event arised from this process of discussion by the Turkey’s first collective avant-gard…e initiative, S.E.T. The exhibition consists of works by 60 artists from abroad and Turkey. In accordance with the concept of the exhibition, most of these works are produced for the event or are to be exhibited for the first time. Destruction 2011 is a campaign organized horizontally through nightly performances, discussions on the concept of exhibitions, blogs, forums and film screening.
